What I refuse

1. No video

Twelve minutes for a fifteen-second verdict. Here the verdict sits at the top of the page, not at the end of an edit. This isn't a judgement on video as a format: it's a method constraint, the one that keeps the verdict readable before anything else.

2. No score out of 10

A score summarises what you don't want to explain. Instead: "right for you" and "not for you", two lists, not a number.

3. No displayed price

A printed price is a wrong price tomorrow. The price lives with the seller, with its own date. Product links on this site are Amazon affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, I earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. That's how this site is funded, and nothing else.

4. No top-10 list

A list of ten products is nine products you failed to rule out. I'd rather explain why I rule something out, with the source of the reason, than stack up options.

5. No fake test

What was actually tested says so. Everything else is assessed on paper, and says so too: four evidence levels, spelled out in full, never a single icon.
